The JL/XHD Series is the High Duty variant of the digital AC Slip Ring Motor Drive, derived from the established PL/X digital DC drive platform. Sharing the same core software and hardware, it provides precise digital control for AC slip ring motors in both 2-Quadrant and 4-Quadrant (regenerative) modes. The key differentiator is the robust thyristor stack configuration, which delivers a firing-angle-controlled 3-phase output (U, V, W) and features an exceptional overload capability of 250% for 25 seconds for demanding applications.

The JL/XHD series covers output currents from 100A to 1010A across three compact frame sizes (Frames 2, 4, and 5). It supports standard input voltages up to 500VAC, with optional MV (600VAC) and HV (690VAC) models available for high-voltage systems (Frames 4 and 5). All fieldbus options and configuration software packages (e.g., PL Pilot+) available for the PL/X range are also compatible. The high-current 3-phase supply terminals are conveniently located at the top, and motor connections are at the bottom of the unit.
